Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS Software Development Team Product Owner (PO) Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS Software Development Team Product Owner (PO) to support PEO MS, Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties: Serve as the Product Owner (PO) for the TIS (Track Identification Services) Software Development Team. Prioritize and validate software development efforts for the TIS team, which focuses on the identification and classification of tracks in Command and Control (C2) software. Review and understand systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms to provide direction to the development team. Collaborate with Program Management to establish sprint and product increment priorities related to capabilities and defect resolution. Provide technical briefings and advisements to leadership on system status, recommended courses of action, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission. Guide the team by setting acceptance criteria, attending code reviews, and verifying delivered work. Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics. Minimum of 7 years of combined Government/DoD experience performing related duties. Strong understanding of CID (Classification, Identification, and Discrimination) functions within C2 systems, including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR. Ability to provide oversight to a development team and verify deliverables based on technical acceptance criteria. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. Familiarity with current CID measures in one or more DoD services. Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team.
