Job Description

Position: Acupuncturist - Independent Contractor

Reports to: Office Manager

Position Description: Responsible for providing acupuncture services to clients at The Healing Heart Center

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide acupuncture services to clients as scheduled by the HHC staff
• Assist clients in understanding the services offered at The Healing Heart Center
• Consult the client about their medical history and the reason for their visit
• Give advice on lifestyle habits such as sleep, exercise and diet to improve clients physical health
• Create a plan of care that focuses on the clients overall health and wellbeing
• Clean and organize treatment rooms between clients; includes sterilizing equipment and replenishing supplies
• Comply with HIPAA privacy requirements and processes
• Coordinate with the Office Manager to ensure all tasks are being completed

• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

• Understand personnel and compliance records management; able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to employ flexibility and creativity in the face of ambiguity and challenge

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed by the state of Iowa in Acupuncture
