Are you interested in a part-time Accountant position?
Our client is looking for a part-time Accountant - 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
1. Provide administrative, accounting, and clerical support to the Project Managers, Estimators and Management.
2. Type accurately; prepare and maintain project files, documents, and records.
3. Coordinate between Project Managers and General Contractors
4. Gather and organize initial project and job information into its proper sections.
5. Create and update hard copy files and electronic files for each job order.
6. Enter key data of financial transactions in database.
7. Prepare invoices, payment requests, waivers, and tax exemption certificates.
8. Track job costs, contracts, and estimated hours.
9. Track submittals and resubmittals until a submittal is approved
10. Prepare and track change order requests for sub-contractors
11. Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
12. Continually increase job knowledge with new tasks, cross-training, and assisting others.
13. Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications/Skills/Education Requirements
1. Experience and familiarity with bookkeeping, basic accounting procedures, and file management.
2. Competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook),
3. Competency in Sage, Foundation, ProCore, GCPay, Paychex Flex, databases, and various accounting software programs is a plus.
4. General knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
5. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
6. Well organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Aptitude for numbers and ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
8. Has strong data entry and word processing skills.
9. Education requirement: associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
